Day Eight: Leaving Tasmania

The first stop this morning was Zeehan and the West Coast Pioneers Memorial Museum. The place was freezing!!! Would hate to be in Tasmania in the middle of winter.

The main street of Zeehan.

Stopped briefly in Penguin. The township has embraced its name.

The one thing I did not know about Tasmania is it provides nearly half of the world’s legal poppy supply for the pharmaceutical industry.

Spent an hour in Sheffield looking at the murals.
